We hold a number of services throughout Northern Ireland during which we remember those who have died.
These are always held at the beginning of December and we invite families and friends in the year following a funeral. During the service, lights are illuminated on a Christmas tree in memory of each person who died in the previous year. This is followed by some moments of silent reflection.
The service also features music and carols, and we have been told that the experience in some ways unites those who have been bereaved. This can in itself be valuable for many who are grieving.
