Our Care Beyond Words programme includes a tribute which recognises those who “go the extra mile”.
These people can be family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, volunteers or professionals. Their support following a death is often invaluable, but thanks can sometimes remain unvoiced. Nominees can be individuals, or alternatively, they may be a family or other group.
We offer the bereaved the opportunity to say thank you to these individuals, by nominating those who have been supporting them for the Care Beyond Words Annual Tribute.
Whilst it is impossible to recognise the efforts of everyone who is nominated, we use an external advisor to help us to identify one recipient every year who has demonstrated extraordinary compassion.
The presentation event takes place at a local venue, it is private and informal
and there is no external publicity. We invite the individual(s) receiving
the tribute, along with those who have direct experience of their support.
