Caring for people...
We have developed this website to give some background to the services which we provide and would ask you to remember, that when required, we will always have someone available to listen or advise.
We know from listening to those who have been bereaved, that many are not prepared for the emotional stress which may arise at the time of a death. Through offering support - as much or as little as required - we can help at the appropriate time.
This is all part of our caring approach which includes:
- Understanding that the needs of our clients do not just start and finish with a funeral. Our experience allows us to provide support and direction - from the first contact with us, to the time after the funeral, during which even the strongest can occasionally feel vulnerable;
- The provision of a professional service 24 hours a day, including weekends and public holidays;
- Developing a unique and practical approach to making funeral arrangements. This is often helped through our previous involvement with members of the same family;
- The provision of information. As well as personal contact, in order to allow those who are affected to understand in their own time, what may be involved, we offer a Family Information Pack. This covers for example; formalities like registering a death and very delicate issues, such as dealing with the emotions of children;
- Providing a price list which gives a clear picture of all of the possible options and costs involved in a funeral which assists individual choice. Our staff are trained to understand the way that people feel and do not receive any financial benefit, whatever is decided;
- Our being familiar with, and understanding, the customs of every religion. We have served many cultures and faiths in Northern Ireland, as well as those who do not have religious beliefs;
- This website, includes an insight into grief and is a useful first step to understanding the many emotions involved;
- Lastly in this context, part of our profit and staff time is used in supporting local charitable projects and providing relevant training to those in the care sector.
